Mark Comeau, AIA Architect is a professional architecture firm licensed to practice in several states in the Northeast. Practicing for over fifteen years now, the firm has an eclectic resume of built projects including numerous large scale custom homes, residential additions and alterations, and commercial works that include the Fisher’s Island Ferry Terminal, Haley Center Retail Village, Fort Shantok Public Park Facility, a walk-out medical facility, community center, elderly housing, and others. The firm is now specializing in concept design, master planning and custom residential. Located in a scenic village setting along Connecticut’s coast, the firm‘s studio is located near the Borough of Stonington. This waterfront location of the studio is a creative setting. Current work on the boards reflects the firm’s niche market in large scale high-end residential architecture as well as specialty-custom commercial projects. |

On Design – Design is not style and style is not design. The outcome of our projects is the result of careful dissemination of each client’s program and the resulting form is a carefully crafted cloaking of that program, in mass, scale, proportion, and texture. The firm’s designs can be generalized as “regional eclectic vernacularism”, referring to our use of the Shoreline’s unique mixture of historical architectural elements. |
